M 1874 Dyer Cartridge Pouch
The Dyer pouch was to hold 40, 45/70 cal rounds and was used for field use, unlike is counter part the 1874 McKeever which was largely used for garrison duties. The Dyer was eventually replaced in the 1880’s with the Mills Cartridge Belt.
The Dyer pouch is wool lined and has two lops on the back that paste through the M1874 saber belt.
