M1860 Spencer Cavalry Carbine Cartridge Box
The early war cartridge box issued for the Spencer Carbine prior to the quick loader Blakeslee Box later in the war.
The carbine box comes with wooden inner block that can be used for paper or metallic cartridges and a tool pouch under the flap. It has two belt loops on the back for a belt and two buckles on the bottom so it can be worn on a sling.
Will fit a belt approx 2 1/2 inches wide
The Carbine Box is approx 8 inches long, 4 inches high, 2 inches deep. Internal is 7 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide.
Entirely Hand made. with white stitching and brass fastener on the bottom.
Cartridges not included.
