CS Blockade Run British M1860 Sergeants Enfield Cartridge Box
The M1860 sergeants Enfield Cartridge Box was imported through the Union blockade along with the standard model, there is no evidence that these were issued to just sergeants and most of the sergeants models I have seen were confederate.
When the boxes arrived, they were striped of leather slings and were re-purposed, and issued with a white or black tarred canvas sling unlike the Federal issue.
The Enfield sergeant boxes were to have a tool pouch mounted along the top of the inner flap and a percussion pouch mounted on the side they also carried the stamped for the British War Department
