5 Button Fatigue Blouse c1884

The five button fatigue blouse was the next stage of evolution for the US Army and Cavalry as in 1882 the QM Department had mentioned a desire among soldiers to eliminate all piping from their field coats and shirts.  This blouse was to be standard issue until the Spanish American War apart from a small modification in 1885 with three outside pockets.

High Quality 100% Navy Blue wool, fully lined in cotton with an internal pocket and brass buttons.
